This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use this online ordering website, how it is used, and the choices you have. The website is operated by AVVA Marketing (“we,” “us”) using the AVVA Eats platform on behalf of Cafe Crepe (“the Restaurant”). By using this website or placing an order you agree to this Policy, our Terms and Conditions and our Platform Policy.
We collect only the information needed to take, prepare, deliver and support your order, and to operate and secure the website. We will not share your information except as described in this Policy.
Personal information you give us. When you place an order or create an account, this includes your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, the contents of your order, any notes or special instructions, and, if you choose to create an account, your password (stored in scrambled form, never in readable form). We use it to process and fulfill your order, contact you if there is a problem or a question about it, send order confirmations and status updates, provide receipts and order history, handle refunds and support requests, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations.
Payment information. If you pay online, your card details are entered into, and processed by, a third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card number or security code. We keep limited details such as the card type, the last four digits, the expiration date, the amount and the transaction reference, so we can show a receipt and process captures, voids and refunds.
Browser and device information. Like most websites, we automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. We use it to keep the website working and secure, diagnose problems and understand how the site is used.
This website uses cookies and similar technologies (such as your browser’s session storage) that are needed for it to work: to keep you signed in if you have an account, to protect forms against forgery, and to remember your cart and your pickup or delivery choices while you order. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when they are being sent, but some parts of the website, such as the cart and checkout, may not function without them. Third-party services we use, such as payment processing and address lookup, may set their own cookies subject to their own policies.
We email you about your order, such as confirmation, ready and cancellation notices. If the Restaurant has turned on order texts, we may also send text messages to the phone number you provide at checkout about the status of that order. These are order-related messages only and are not marketing. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply, and you can stop texts by replying STOP or by asking the Restaurant. We do not share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing.
We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate the service, to provide it on our behalf, or to help us analyze how it is used. They have access to your personal information only to perform these tasks for us and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose. Depending on how the Restaurant is set up, these include providers of:
The Restaurant itself receives your order details and contact information in order to prepare your order. We may also disclose information when required by law or legal process, to enforce our terms, to protect the rights, property or safety of others, or in connection with a merger, sale or reorganization of our business. We do not sell your personal information.
We value your trust in giving us your personal information and use commercially acceptable means to protect it, such as encrypted connections and restricted access. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
We keep order and account information for as long as needed to provide the service, keep business and tax records, resolve disputes and comply with the law, and then delete or anonymize it.
You can ask the Restaurant or us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to legal and record-keeping requirements, and you can close your account if you created one. If you live in a state with a consumer privacy law that gives you additional rights, such as the right to know, delete or correct your information, you may exercise those rights by contacting us as described below, and we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
This website may contain links to other sites. If you click a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Those sites are not operated by us, so we strongly advise you to review their privacy policies. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites or services.
This website is not directed to anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above, so please review it periodically. Changes are effective when they are posted.
